Lutheran Church Baptismal Site in Jordan
The mission statement of the Lutheran Church Baptismal Site at Bethany-beyond-Jordan, states that:
“Bethany Beyond Jordan is a place of worship and meditation, of listening and learning. The focus is on the spiritual and historical, political, and environmental aspects of the place. Worship is central; pilgrims and visitors are encouraged to renew their baptismal vows. Thematic pilgrim walks and retreats, baptisms and conferences are organized at the Centre. The Pilgrim Centre is open to all churches, believers, and visitors. It is a place of fellowship and dialogue with all people of good will.”
OSMTH is very familiar with the work and witness of the Lutheran Church Baptismal Site at Bethany Beyond Jordan and considers it a great honour that OSMTH holds seats on the International Advisory Board for this significant religious institution, which is in the care of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJHL).

2022: ELCJHL - Lutheran Church Baptismal Site at Bethany-beyond-Jordan
OSMTH made a donation of 2,000 Euros to help pay for the costs of the following works needed at the Lutheran Church Baptismal Site:
- Fitting out of the kitchen in the parish house building, to make lunches for groups possible; and
- Repairs to the church ceiling.
